Prabhas’ Baahubali Re-Release: Global Premiere Set for October 29

SS Rajamouli's historic project, Baahubali: The Epic, is making a comeback in theaters with a re-edited and re-mastered version, which is a first in Indian cinema. The global release of the two-part saga's combined edition is set for October 29, just two days before the official release on October 31.

A unique video that was put out by the filmmakers on Sunday had the main actor, Prabhas, in all black. He greeted the audience in the video clip and asked them to witness the joined version of Baahubali: Part 1 and Part 2 in theaters which he expressed through his body language and vocal modulation while showing a string of pauses. Then, he mentioned the international premiere date.

The re-release’s advance tickets have already been sold worth Rs 5 crores worldwide. The figure is expected to go up as the release date gets closer.

The second part, Baahubali: The Conclusion, was the first Indian film to cross the Rs 1,000-crore mark in terms of collections and won many accolades along with setting several box office records and thus helped Indian cinema get its recognition on the world stage. The re-release of Baahubali: The Epic is expected to create a new wave of interest in the film among the audience, who, therefore, will be able to witness again the magnificent portrayal of the namesake character by Prabhas.

The re-release brings back the original star cast like Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Tamannaah, and Nasser. The story is penned down by Vijayendra Prasad, the direction is by SS Rajamouli, who was also in charge of both the original and re-edited versions.
